The main class of this first day was the Prize Amberes (Table A, Two Phases, 1.40m) and was won by Belgium’s Karel Cox with the BWP mare Sea Coast Hadise (Darco x Skippy). The 33-year-old rider from Hechtel-Eksel, who runs a stable together with his partner Marit Haarr Skollerud (NOR), was clear in both phases and stopped the clock at 32.50 seconds. Runners-up were Britian’s  Jessica Mendoza and her 13-year-old stallion Wan Architect. They were clear too but were just a bit slower in 32.65. Holland’s Sabrina van Rijswijk claimed third place with Joris VD Bisschop (BWP, Erco Van ’t Roosakker x Nabab de Reve).
