Belgium’s Pieter Kenis was the proud winner of today’s first class, the Paardenbodems Peter Van Santvoort Prize (CSI2*, Table A against the clock , 1.35m). The 21-year-old rider from Beerse steered his nine-year-old mare Hera d’Hessy (Chatman x Azur Depaulstra) to the finish in 69.37 seconds.
Holland’s Aniek Poels finished in second place with her 15-year-old BWP gelding Baggio 11 (Heartbreaker x Concorde). They needed 71.13 seconds to jump the course. Her compatriot Sabrina van Rijswijk took third place with Jackson VD Bisschop (Flipper d’Elle x Nabab de Reve). Sabrina is doing well in Zandhoven. She won a class, the DAF Peeters Prize, with Jackson on Thursday.
