Patrick Stühlmeyer wins the Grand Prix on Varihoka du Temple
25-08-2019
Patrick Stühlmeyer won already the 1 m 50 ranking class on Saturday with Chacgrano. Today he rode Varihoka du Temple, a 10 yr old SF stallion by Luigi D’Amaury x Kannan in the Grand Prix, a 1 m 55 ranking class with jump off . Course designer Eddy Geysemans built a high and delicate course. Out of 49 starters only five riders qualified for the jump off. In the jump off the German rider of the Schockmöhle stables was the only one to jump clear.
Patrick: “ The triple combination was definitely the joker. Two verticals followed by an oxer all at one stride is not easy. I was the first to go in the jump off and I rode fast but not with full risks. This is my first interntional Grand Prix that I win with Varihoka and I am super happy with the nice BMW car for this victory. De Kraal International is a great show, everything is well organised and you really feel at home. If it depends on me I’ll definitely be back next year.”
