Prize Agora and Plantencentrum Mampay for Michel Hendrix

Holland’s Michel Hendrix won the first class of the last day of De Kraal International, the Agora and Plantencentrum Mampay Prize (CSI4* Table A against the clock, 1.45m). The 29-year-old rider started as 17th and none of the remaining 17 combinations was able to beat his time of 60.01. Michel, who runs the Hendrix Stables in Kessel together with his father Paul, rode the 12-year-old BWP gelding Eder Van Den Blauwaert (Kashmir Van Schuttershof x Skippy II). Michel Hendrix had a successful period as a Junior and Young Rider. In 2007 he won team bronze at the European Championships for Young Riders and in 2008 he won a bronze medal at the Dutch Championships for Young Riders and team silver at the European Championships in Prague. After this Michel gained experience at the stables of Emil Spadone in the United States and Ludger Beerbaum in Germany.

Brazil’s João Victor Castro finished runner-up with the Rheinland mare Oh La’La (Orlando x Lancer II). They clocked 60.69 seconds. Olivier Philippaerts was the best home representative in third place with  Lexus Z (Zang, Levisto x Leandro) in 0-61.45
